Effective April 1, 2001, the Federal Land Bank Association of Hawaii, FLCA and the Hawaii Production Credit Association consolidated under section 7.8 of the Farm Credit Act of 1971, as amended, to form Farm Credit Services of Hawaii, ACA. The charters for the PCA and FLCA were amended to make them subsidiaries of Farm Credit Services of Hawaii, ACA. All associations operate under Conditions of Approval. Pursuant to FCA's Conditions of Approval, FCA will treat the ACA and its subsidiary associations on a consolidated basis for regulatory purposes as the FCA deems appropriate.

Effective October 1, 2003, the Western Farm Credit Bank merged with and into the Farm Credit Bank of Wichita, the continuing bank, which will be known as U.S. AgBank, FCB. As a result of the bank merger, all active associations in the Western and Wichita districts were assigned a new district code (24).

As a result of the merger of U. S. AgBank, FCB, into CoBank, ACB on 1/1/2012, all active associations in the U. S. AgBank and CoBank districts were assigned a new district code (25).

Effective July 1, 2019, Farm Credit Services of Hawaii (Hawaii ACA) began a voluntary liquidation pursuant to FCA regulation § 627.2795. This liquidation included the sale of all assets in and liabilities of Hawaii ACA to American AgCredit, ACA, including all stock held in Federal Land Bank Association of Hawaii, FLCA (Hawaii FLCA) and Hawaii Production Credit Association (Hawaii PCA) (collectively, Hawaii). As a result, Hawaii FLCA and Hawaii PCA became wholly-owned subsidiaries of American AgCredit, ACA. FCA amended the charters of American AgCredit, ACA and its subsidiaries to include the territory served by Hawaii and amended the charters of Hawaii FLCA and Hawaii PCA to make them subsidiaries of American AgCredit, ACA.

American AgCredit, ACA and its subsidiaries remain subject to the FCA Conditions of Approval (Conditions), which are effective July 1, 2019. These Conditions will remain in effect until FCA amends or waives them and will terminate, without further action by American AgCredit upon the date Hawaii FLCA and Hawaii PCA cease to exist as institutions of the Farm Credit System, unless otherwise notified by FCA. The Conditions of Approval that were in place for American AgCredit prior to the combination will resume after the charters of Hawaii FLCA and Hawaii PCA are canceled. Under the Conditions, FCA will continue to treat the parent ACA and its subsidiary associations on a consolidated basis for regulatory purposes as FCA considers appropriate.
