Effective July 1, 2001, Farm Credit Services of Southeastern Illinois, PCA, Farm Credit Services of Southeastern Illinois, FLCA, Farm Credit Services of Central Illinois, PCA and Farm Credit Services of Central Illinois, FLCA consolidated to form Farm Credit Services of Illinois, ACA (Illinois ACA). The FCA approved the merger of Farm Credit Services of Central Illinois, PCA into Farm Credit Services of Southeastern Illinois, PCA, the continuing association, whose name will change to Farm Credit Services of Illinois, PCA (Illinois, PCA). Further, the FCA approved the merger of Farm Credit Services of Central Illinois, FLCA into Farm Credit Services of Southeastern Illinois, FLCA, the continuing association, whose name will change to Farm Credit Services of Illinois, FLCA (Illinois FLCA). The resulting structure will be that of an ACA parent with two wholly owned subsidiaries—a PCA and an FLCA. The associations are subject to Conditions of Approval imposed by FCA that are also effective July 1, 2001. Pursuant to FCA's Conditions of Approval, FCA will treat the ACA and its subsidiary associations on a consolidated basis for regulatory purposes as the FCA deems appropriate.

As a result of the merger of AgAmerica, FCB, into AgriBank, FCB (AgriBank), on 1/1/03, all active associations in the AgriBank district were assigned a new district code (22).

Effective December 1, 2008, the Farm Credit Services of Illinois, ACA, and its subsidiaries (Farm Credit Services of Illinois, FLCA, and Farm Credit Services of Illinois, PCA) officially changed their headquarters location from Champaign in Champaign County, Illinois, to Mahomet in Champaign County, Illinois. The new address is located at 1100 South Farm Credit Drive in Mahomet, Illinois.

Effective January 1, 2014, the Farm Credit Services of Illinois, ACA, to change its name, and the names of its subsidiaries, from Farm Credit Services of Illinois, ACA, to Farm Credit Illinois, ACA; Farm Credit Services of Illinois, FLCA, to Farm Credit Illinois, FLCA; and Farm Credit Services of Illinois, PCA, to Farm Credit Illinois, PCA.
