Effective 4/1/91 South Florida FLBA and South Florida PCA merged forming an Agricultural Credit Association under Section 7.8 of the Act. The association's name is Farm Credit of South Florida, ACA.

As a result of the merger on 10/1/93 of the FICB of Jackson into the FCB of Columbia, the continuing bank, all ACAs in the Columbia district and the First South PCA from the FICB of Jackson were given the new district code (16) that had been assigned to the FCB of Columbia.

Effective December 1, 2000, the Farm Credit of South Florida, ACA was restructured and became the parent entity to South Florida Production Credit Association and South Florida Federal Land Bank Association, FLCA. All three associations are subject to FCA Conditions of Approval, also effective 12/1/2000. Pursuant to FCA's Conditions of Approval, FCA will treat the ACA and its subsidiary associations on a consolidated basis for regulatory purposes as the FCA deems appropriate.

Effective December 1, 2006, the Farm Credit of South Florida, ACA, and its subsidiaries changed their headquarters location from Lake Worth to Royal Palm Beach in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Effective January 1, 2011, Farm Credit of North Florida, and its subsidiaries, and Farm Credit of Southwest Florida, and its subsidiaries, merged with and into Farm Credit of South Florida (South Florida), and its subsidiaries, respectively.

South Florida and its subsidiaries are the continuing associations. The names of the continuing associations are:

Farm Credit of Florida, ACA,
Florida Federal Land Bank Association, FLCA, and
Florida Production Credit Association.

Farm Credit of Florida, ACA, and its subsidiaries remain subject to the FCA Conditions of Approval of the South Florida and its subsidiaries, which were effective December 1, 2000. Under the FCA’s Conditions of Approval, the FCA will continue to treat the continuing ACA and its subsidiary associations on a consolidated basis for regulatory purposes as FCA considers appropriate. The FCA canceled the charters of Farm Credit of North Florida and each of its subsidiaries, and Farm Credit of Southwest Florida and each of its subsidiaries effective January 1, 2011.
